TIMELINE
Jan 2022 Present (Ongoing)
When COVID first hit the U.S., I spent a great majority of lockdown exploring a variety of new music to listen to. Discovering many talented artists through Spotify and social media, I developed a strong desire to go to more concerts and especially start exploring Orlando's local music scenes once things got under control. Fueled by these desires, I then started scrolling endlessly through Facebook groups, Instagram, and music forums to get an idea of what's out there. Coming back with little luck, I kept asking myself: "How on earth am I going to get into local music scenes?! Where can I find these shows?"
This became the basis for designing Concert Hall — a passion project where I research and explore solutions for those looking to support their local music scene and for those just starting & growing into their music careers.
Overview
PROBLEM
The problems at hand concerns two groups of stakeholders: concertgoers and up-and-coming independent musicians.
Concertgoers do not have an accessible platform to find and talk about  smaller, “underground” shows with local musicians. They also particularly struggle with hidden fees when buying concert tickets.
Up-and-coming independent musicians have a hard time promoting their music and their career, especially if just starting out. This is especially difficult if they do not already have a promoter to help them book new gigs.
SOLUTION
Concert Hall is a concert finding app designed for small, independent musicians and their fans.
Concertgoers can find smaller, more intimate shows by up-and-coming musicians in their area at affordable prices. There are no hidden fees on ticket prices.
Up-and-coming, independent musicians can self-promote their shows and music on the app. This is especially ideal for those just starting out. They can also sell tickets to their shows, receiving 100% of the sales made.
